engine timing
i have now advanced the timing on my firebird it sound much more responsive but the engine had no timing mark to guide it strange hey just holes where it should be bolted on its so loud i dont think i will hear any knocks is there any other way to know if i have gone to far ?

dose it start ok when hot?
if over advanced it will tend to start to turn over then "kick back"
also will run hot/overheat

no knocking but maybe a little better responsive i turned it a fair bit to starts fine straight up. it ran a bit faster on idle until it sorted its self out.
i was just playing a bit god knows where the timing marker has gone lol is missing.
maybe a bit more advance required.
