my trans am

here is my new dougs headers just a bit of modification to do to make them fit.. they fit the big block buick engine but a bit tight against the trans am chassis .

Did you buy your rollcage from a shop or have it made.Only asking as i am getting one made by a place that makes gates and security stuff.Been to see him today and he said if i could get some measurements it would help.Might be getting it chromed too as he said they can get it done cheap so will see what cost is first.

it was a weld in one which I altered so the rear bars went through parcel shelf. the ones in the trunk I made and the door bars I cut to make bolt in as the rest is bolted as well . I also made the rear bar removable .

I only want a loop and the two bars that go to the parcel shelf as i only want it for show,not to stiffen the car or anything.From what the guy was telling me i think he is gonna make it free but obviously charge for either chroming or powder coating.
I also mentioned subframe connectors which he said he could make.
Gonna go back to see him with car on saturday.

Yea,that's what i wanted,found one on Craigslist in California but it was $400,plus shipping and duties would be way too much.After seeing how they bolt in though it put me off them,don't like how they bolt to the wheel arch which means drilling holes in the interior panels.Look better how you have yours to parcel shelf,easy to re cover if it ever came out,no one would even know it had been there.I guess the only thing is window would have to come out to get access to drill holes but planning on changing my rear window as it's full of scratches.

I did it with the window in I made a cardboard template of the top plate then laid in the trunk to mark
