high idle tbi

Post by thirdgen on Mon Dec 22, 2014 9:07 pm

i have been looking on the net seems it could be a air leak but mine does drop sometimes i guess it would not do that if it was a air leak ? appears the base gasket it common. its tbi ? idles really high sometimes.

it should adjust itself, sounds like idle valve
clean it and see
have you tried connecting the diagnostic tool? that should/could tell you

spray carb cleaner round tbi base when idling normally. if there is a leak it will rev up

shame I did not know you wanted seats, got the 2 I took out of mine
only changed them because I bought Kev's old ones

good condition, like new. got to put them on ebay

you are adding fuel if it is sucking air in, so will rev up
