GTA winter work

Post by Webbel on Sun Jan 11, 2015 5:13 pm

Well big thanks to Richard at American Technique for supplying the Eiback springs.
Finally made a start on the fronts today.
I now have lowered springs, new struts and strut mounts.
The original struts once removed did absolutely nothing, I compressed them and the rod just stayed there !!!!!
The mount bearing sounded like it was full of grit....they definitely needed replacing.
The springs weren't that bad to get in and out but really made me sweat !!!

The drivers side strut came out really easy but the passenger side fought me all the way.
Blow torch, plus gas and impact gun and big hammer got it removed...unfortunately I did miss with the hammer a few times so I do need new discs now !!!

Still got the rears to do but thats for another day....dont know how to add pics so look on fb
