I put the new brake pedal switch in today and I now seem to have brake lights...it did confuse me because the lights were intermittent in coming on but the third light always came on ????
Anyway should all be ready for the mot.
Next project is to wetflat the wheels to remove all the phosphate on the ali....and then paint them black...

filled sill is fine for MOT outside prescribed area or if not seriously affecting structure within PR
common myth that filler is a failure on MOTs

Well took it for a shakedown run...the ride seems ok.you do feel the bumps but not as harsh as I thought it would be ...
The car turns as soon as you move the wheel so that all seems tight and positive.
I did the tracking myself and it goes in a straight line, even with no hands on the wheel so that has to be as close as possible to a laser alignment.

The ses light is on now so does anyone have a scan tool ????
Also I better tax it and mot it now if I'm coming on Sunday

Ok read how to do the paperclip scan.....its showing code 15 so I presume I need a new coolant temperature sensor..
Is there just one on the block ?

Did last year..temperature runs normal so I reckon the sensor or a wire is bad.
Ordered a sensor from rockauto so should be here soon

one for gauge, one for ecu
you can measure resistance across sensor terminals as engine warms up to see if its working (goes up with temp.)
probably easier to just fit a new one
