Got my Lincoln
Picked it up yesterday and drove it home with no problems. It has a few small paint issues and small rust spots but otherwise looks good.Couldn't take it for MOT as there are no handbrake cables fitted.Bought some from Rodley motors but not sure if bits are missing from inside the drums as i don't have a manual to show what they look like.
And it fits on drive...........almost

Re: Got my Lincoln
Just had passenger rear wheel off, there is no bits in there for the cables either, just phoned US Auto and they sent me a diagram but they said they can't get new ones but will look stateside for used.Don't want to wait that long so if anyone knows anyone breaking a Lincoln,Mustang or Thunderbird as they show as the same from part numbers.Diagram only shows them for one side though so no part numbers for other side, maybe they are same for both.
Part numbers i need are 2A637 and 2A642.
This is what they look like.

Re: Got my Lincoln
Thanks
Bought the bits i need for brakes off ebay.com so will only get here end of feb.I have fixed the passenger leccy window which wasn't working.Took motor out and pulled it apart, was just a bit rusty so give it a clean and it worked.Just got to do both the little rear windows as they both only go half way then stop.

Re: Got my Lincoln
Anyone know what would have caused these bubbles in the paint? Looks like it had a reaction when it was painted,or it rained on it,lol.Might have to give the car a name, call it Aero
The guy said engine was rebuilt 3000 miles ago, looking at it,it probably has and alternator, dizzy and carb all look brand new.

Don't think that electric choke works, takes a while to start on first start up,but then fires first time every time after that.
