Headers....
Thinking of putting headers on the GTA....what do you lot recommend. .long tube...short tube ??
Any difficulties to look out for ?

Hedman are crap hookers much better look on thirdgen they all say it

long tube give slightly better performance but harder to fit and can cause ground clearance issues
short tubes pretty close especially on a non modified engine in a road use car
that's why David and I went for short tube headers
J went for long tubes on his 4th gen. but tight fit getting Y pipe to clear cross member etc. and def. less ground clearance

they also say don't waste money on headers for a 5 ltr TBI engine, its crap
depends if you want higher rev band, higher bhp (and at higher point in rev band) or higher torque and better throttle response at lower revs

I love hookers
I had 3 inch hookers on my black car it did chuff nicely .... But was very low ground clearance was nothing hit most slopes and bumps !

I have some hooker bhp stickers dont you know ....... Thats 25 hp alone..,
My exhaust must have bhp its very expensive ...........

Its much better for space in the engine bay and changing the plugs !

My hookers fit really well no issues at all the engine did not need lifting so i am told. Dunno eabit hedman but a friend has them and is changing to hooker ..... Say no more lol

yes, you will need the Y pipe
tbh hedman or hookers or doug's are all fine, check prices
but only had experience of hedman (and pacesetter long tubes) and very happy with quality fit and finish
