indicator wiring
anyone know where the indicator wires originate from for the back lights.....i,m thinking of making the end bulb the indicator and the two inside of it the brake lights....trouble is i cant figure out what wire does what ?>
the black wire is the earth
the yellow is the brake
the brown is the normal back light....
how does the indicator make the brake flash.........what do i need to cut and move!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

U need a new wire to the brake pedal to seperate them and cut the indicator cable measure for voltage when flashing cut that and connect to end one. New brake light cable is a must or leave as it is .

leave it as it is, easy option
but if you want to change it just cut the yellow wires that go to lights you want to be just brake lights at the bulb holder. then cut the wire that goes from brake switch and join it to a new wire, take it to the rear lights and connect to the wires you cut at bulb holders
you will have to fit a different amperage flasher unit to get speed right
but why? it wont pass a "proper" MOT as they are the wrong colour (red)
other option is get a later wiring harness and tail lights (88 on have amber rear outer indicators like mine)

I edited a page from the haynes manual for rewiring for uk use. Im not on my laptop at the moment. I'll get the file and upload it for everyone.
