2nd gens are famous for being rot boxes (like all 1970's cars)
you are lucky with yours, I've had several, one of mine (76 Camaro) nearly broke in half and had to be scrapped about 20 years ago
admittedly mine were regularly used, not dry stored

The first 8 years I owned mine it was parked on a main rd no cover no garage, all year round it was my daily driver it also went all over Europe not just 20 miles down the rd then put back into a nice warm garage I don't think 3rd gen cars are any less likely to rot I've seen some pretty bad examples so has Paul and they are newer than second Gen cars let's see how they look when they are 40 years old Very Happy

My black second gen and the last white one were totally rust free....I think it depends on how the previous owners looked after them.
My gta has some rust issues but nothing that cant be fixed

It's cool but i just think that if you want a car,buy a car,if you want a bike buy a bike. It's not like it has any protection from the weather and you can't even filter through traffic, lol.
