long tube give slightly better performance but harder to fit and can cause ground clearance issues
short tubes pretty close especially on a non modified engine in a road use car
that's why David and I went for short tube headers
J went for long tubes on his 4th gen. but tight fit getting Y pipe to clear cross member etc. and def. less ground clearance
short tubes were cheaper also

they also say don't waste money on headers for a 5 ltr TBI engine, its crap Laughing

depends if you want higher rev band, higher bhp (and at higher point in rev band) or higher torque and better throttle response at lower revs

yes, you will need the Y pipe
tbh hedman or hookers or doug's are all fine, check prices
but only had experience of hedman (and pacesetter long tubes) and very happy with quality fit and finish
