wrapping cuts down a hell of a lot of heat in the engine bay. better for all components
(and stops your wiring burning out and shorting out on your professionally fitted headers)
also keeps heat in which improves gas flow and performance
stops you burning your hands when you fiddle with your wires that are melting on your professionally fitted headers allegedly

Re: Headers....
Well the old ones are off...not easy but not too bad...the last bolt at the back on the passenger side sheared off and I thought....BOLLOX....however when you compare the old to new it seems that this stud is not used ???? Result
I can understand why a garage would charge so much labour though......not that I'd pay it

Re: Headers....
Only a lot of work for you as you have not dont it before or got a lift and all the right tools to do it.
We had the same thing happen with J's 4th gen and was lucky we did not need to use that stud hole.

Re: Headers....
oil pressure switch is at rear of engine on drivers side, could be knock sensor
we broke the water sensor doing headers on one of the cars too (well worth £1100 to save that isn't it Paul)
